BlueRise Fisheries Ltd is a women-led social enterprise established in 2024, advancing Somalia’s fisheries sector through commercial fishing, seafood supply, market access, and sustainable fisheries practices.
As a fishing company, our operations are rooted in the sea. We are directly engaged in commercial fishing and seafood production, connecting Somalia’s marine resources with consumers, businesses, and markets.
Our work extends across the fisheries value chain, from fishing and seafood handling to supply, distribution, and market access. We focus on creating reliable pathways for quality seafood to reach the market while strengthening the economic value generated within Somalia’s fisheries sector.
At BlueRise, we believe fisheries can be both commercially successful and socially impactful. Our social enterprise model combines business growth with a commitment to creating opportunities for women, youth, and fishing communities, while promoting responsible and sustainable use of marine resources.
